Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program – The Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program provides financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to develop and implement drug courts that effectively integrate evidence-based substance abuse treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, and transitional services in a judicially supervised court setting with jurisdiction over substance-abusers. BJA is accepting applications for FY 2016 grants to either establish new drug courts or enhance existing drug court programs using evidence-based principles and practices. Implementation: Up to $350,000 for 36 months. Open to jurisdiction that have completed a substantial amount of planning and are ready to implement an evidence-based adult drug court. Enhancement: Up to $300,000 for 36 months (note: this is an increase in funding amount and length from last year). Open to jurisdictions with a fully operational adult drug court. Applications Due: April 19, 2016.
