Using Traditional Foods and Sustainable Ecological Approaches for Health Promotion and Diabetes Prevention in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Communities – The purpose of this one year funding application is for successful applicants to: a) demonstrate that their culturally based traditional foods activities are sustainable and/or institutionalized in their respective communities; b) evaluate already established sustainable strategies and/or emerging strategies (environmental, health practice/policy, self-sustaining activities, etc.) based on continued program activities; and c) complete existing activities that would not otherwise be done because of limited time and funds.
