Description

A total of up to $2.5 million is available to federally recognized Indian tribes and nonprofit tribal organizations to help American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities develop, establish, and operate specialized services and procedures to improve the investigation, prosecution, and overall handling of cases of child abuse, and to address the needs of AI/AN child abuse victims in a manner that lessens the trauma to the victims and increases culturally appropriate service provision.
